An ideal visit for everyone

Just 30 minutes from Paris, come and admire the masterpiece of François Mansart, the famous 17th-century architect. Discover a sumptuously furnished castle on a human scale, set in 4 hectares of gardens, ideal for exploring our heritage, relaxing and enjoying a peaceful break ! Stroll from the vestibule of honor to the king's apartment, using the visit leaflet provided in French and English. And don't forget, it's free for under-26s !

Activities during the vacations

Workshops, tours, shows: during the vacations, the Château de Maisons welcomes you! Keep an eye on the changing program all year round. For autumn and Halloween, ghosts are out and about in the castle; at Christmas, the monument is dressed up for the holidays; in summer, the gardens invite you to stroll and play...

Large-scale events

All year round, the Château de Maisons invites you to enjoy colorful shows: On the first weekend of July, for "Jardin Enchanté", and in the run-up to the festive season for the immersive family show "La Belle et la Bête"! And don't miss our major cultural and national events the rest of the year, such as the European Heritage Days, "Rendez-vous aux jardins" or the "Contes et histoires" event.

Facilities and visiting conditions

  • Park and catering :

The 4-hectare park surrounding the castle is open to the public: ideal for a stroll !
For a meal, the monument is just a 5-minute walk from the downtown area.

  • Accessibilité famille et animaux :

Seats are available all along the tour route.
For the youngest visitors, we advise you to bring a baby carrier, as strollers are not allowed inside the castle. 
Stroller parking is available. There are no baby-changing facilities on site.
Only accompanying dogs are allowed in the castle and gardens.  
There is no luggage storage on site, so large bags and suitcases are not permitted. 
Bicycle parking is available in the main courtyard.
