What is a coat of arms and what purpose does it serve?

By studying the coats of arms of the castle's various owners, students are introduced to the science of heraldry: symbols, function, composition...

Inspired by the examples discussed during the visit, they create their own coat of arms with the values they wish to embody, in a workshop.
